Foursquare Day Hacking

In celebration of annual Foursquare Day events,  I have lead the ideation and creation of several Foursquare API-based hacks and applications.  Each execution was created in just a few days, as an example of rapid-prototyping creative + digital exploration.

Foursquare-powered Birthday Card

We launched the first ever Foursquare-powered birthday card in celebration of Foursquare Day and SS+K’s 19th birthday.  “Checking in” to any SS+K Foursquare location signed the card with a person’s name and profile image.  The card was designed for display on screen in the lobby of SS+K’s building, welcoming employees and guests when they arrived for the day.

Foursquare-powered Risk Game

We turned SS+K’s agency floor plan into a massive interactive check-in powered Risk-type game.  The ‘mayor’ of each SS+K location controls that property, and the person who controls the most locations is the King of the office and winner of the game.
