Kevin is SVP of Digital Strategy + Innovation at SS+K, a marketing + communications agency specializing in creative social engagement. He helps brands explore how they can communicate and build relationships through the use of digital and social media and technology. He oversees digital strategy across SS+K’s portfolio of consumer, enterprise, and philanthropic brands. Notable clients have included HBO, Amazon, Jet.com, Obama 2012, E*TRADE, The College Board, JCPenney and GE.
Kevin is co-founder of SS+K Labs, an incubator of innovative creative technologies for brands. Labs explores nascent mediums, platforms, and technologies, striving to create meaningful new products and services. Projects have included Moving Through Glass, a Google Glass application which augments the lives of persons living with Parkinson’s disease, and VineViewer, the world’s first Vine search engine, which was used over a million times.
Kevin served as a mentor at Coolhouse Labs, an early-stage startup accelerator founded in Harbor Springs, Michigan. There he helped new companies establish their go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, growth, and messaging.
Prior to SS+K, Kevin was at DraftFCB leading media strategy, planning, and buying for the Office of National Drug Control Policy’s “Above The Influence” campaign. He helped the government transition from a traditional media campaign to an innovative digital marketing effort, including the organization’s first use of social media, mobile marketing, and in-game advertising. Kevin also managed digital media for Fisher-Price and Patanese pharmaceuticals.
Before moving to New York, Kevin graduated Magna Cum Laude with a liberal arts degree from Brandeis University. While at Brandeis he formed a fraternity that grew from 4 to over 60 members, owns its own property, and has endowment and scholarship funds. He is an avid hiker, biker and climber, a long-time blogger, and a media & technology enthusiast.
